Kentucky Bus Driver Ridicules Student With Gay Parents, The School Turns A Blind Eye

A Kentucky child was suspended from the school bus this past week.  Not because she was unruly, but because she was offended when others on the bus were making fun of gay and lesbian people. When she brought this to the attention of bus driver, the driver thought it was humorous and told the child she was a ‘contradiction’  because her mother must have had heterosexual relations at some point and time.

When the child called the bus driver a ‘jerk’ because of the childish response she received, she was suspended from the bus.

The incident allegedly happened March 31 2010.  More than a month has passed and the school has not reprimanded the bus driver in any way, shape or form.   The mother has decided to go public, the news clip is below:

Several civil rights organizations, including the Kentucky Equality Federation have stepped in to help the family get some closure.
