It’s Fun To Stay At The YMCA, It Just May Cost More If You’re Gay

The YMCA in Northwest North Carolina is drawing heat from local gay families.

It seems that the YMCA offers discounted pricing to singles with dependents and  married couples with dependents.  However, the 10 area YMCA’s  offer no discounted price to gay couples with dependents.

Many gay activists showed up for a peaceful protest of the YMCA’s policy.   The protest was timed to coincide with a meeting of the YMCA’s board of directors.

This quickly drew out the religious right wing nuts as illustrated in the image.

A spokesman for the YMCA says in the clip that they offer no discounted pricing for married couples with children, but their website leads me to believe otherwise.
