The 21st annual GLAAD awards took place over the weekend. Among the public figures accepting awards were Wanda Sykes and Joy Behar.
You may recall that Wanda invited Constance McMillen to present her with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award. The award is named after a highly successful Los Angeles casting director who devoted the last part of his life to fighting AIDS-phobia and homophobia in the entertainment industry. Each year the award is given to an openly gay member of the entertainment or media community for his or her work toward eliminating homophobia.

Joy Behar was also presented with an award. She received the Excellence in Media Award. Each year the award is given to individuals in the media and entertainment industries who through their work have increased the visibility and understanding of the LGBT community.
