Today’s The Day – Gay DC Couples Can Apply For Marriage Licenses

Chief DC Superior Court Judge Lee Satterfield sat down with Fox News yesterday morning to talk about the process by which gay couples can go about applying for a marriage license.

The clip also highlights a few gay couples who will be applying for their license no doubt today.

Are you and your partner in the DC area?  Or perhaps you live in Maryland, which recently started to recognize out of state gay marriages, and want to finally get married.  Here is an article that outlines the steps you will need to take.

If you just want to glance over what the application looks like, you can look at the PDF here

Applications are being accepted now, however the first licenses will be issued Tuesday March 9, 2010.

My partner and I live in Ohio, which does NOT recognize same sex marriage.   Maybe we will be relocating very soon.

Congratulations to all of the couples who are applying today.
