Late last week, NBC’s Today show caught up with a teen in Chillicothe Ohio. This is about 45 minutes from where Rich and I live.
He didn’t break any records, he didn’t win his school a trophy. Instead this teen is opening up to the media about coming out to his parents.
Speaking from my own experience, the reaction of his Dad and step-mother is relevant to any parent of a teen.
However, the way his real mother has treated him is an example of how NOT to react when your child tells you he or she is gay.
