I love the people who follow me on twitter. I can’t say this enough. When someone follows me I immediately check out their profile. If they have a link to a website, I always check it out. Today, someone started following me on twitter who really caught my attention.
Her name is Marti Smye, and on twitter you can find her @martismye , I am going to let her tell you her story.
Marti, I too have had a similar situation. I used to do corporate training for an education call center. I was fast tracked to being a regional manager and oversee new campaigns in both Ohio and Colorado.
At a work gathering one Friday evening, I brought my then boyfriend with me. Within the next week, the position that I had been shadowing to take over for 6 weeks was immediately replaced with an outside (heterosexual) source. The whole time, I had been promised the position.
When I inquired, the company said that they ‘Chose to go another direction’ and I ultimately put in my resignation notice.
