Happy Anniversary Iowa!

Nearly one year ago (April 3 will mark the exact day) the Iowa Supreme Court ruled to allow same sex marriages in the state.

Check out the Washington Post’s coverage of that story here:  Iowa Legalizes Same-Sex Marriage

To date nearly 1800 couples have gotten married statewide.  And the world has not come to an end!  I would like to say Happy Anniversary to all the couples who now have the same rights on everything from taxes to insurance as heterosexual humans do.

Here is the video recap from the local NBC Channel.
