Gaga Brings Back Everything I Loved About Music as a Kid

Do you remember the good ole days when MTV actually played music videos?   I do.   I’m sure my mom still has some of them that I recorded to VHS so I could have them forever and ever.

Somewhere along the way, MTV decided to ween out the videos and replace them with the reality show.  Don’t forget, MTV created the reality show when they released the first season of “The Real World”.

Do you remember how they used to hype up a video weeks before its release?   Guaranteeing that their viewers would be able to catch the first look at an artists new video.

I’m happy to say that Lady Gaga has helped to bring back some of that anticipation for music videos.   Her single ‘Telephone’ featuring

Beyonce started playing on the radio a couple of weeks ago,  it has already become her sixth number one hit in a row and the remix ep is already out… but still no Video for the single.

Last night, E! aired a commercial saying that the video will debut on Thursday March 11 at 11:30 P.M.   Home recorded video of this commercial quickly spread the net via social networking sites like twitter and facebook.

I myself feel like I’m a teenager again, waiting for Madonna’s  Vogue video to debut.   Funny how Gaga seems to be bringing back all of the things we used to love about artists as children.  Maybe she can launch her own HD music video channel… and only play videos!

In other Lady Gaga news, (even though she is wearing her latest, still no video for single on her head) Lady Gaga appeared on the BBC program Friday Night With Jonathan Ross over the weekend.  She appeared in a fantastic outfit, topped off with a telephone hat, which she said she was going to use to hang up on the host if he were mean to her.
