Constance McMillen Speaks to Media About Canceled Prom

There will be no prom at Mississippi’s Itawamba Agricultural High School this year.

After Constance McMillen talked to school officials about bringing her date to the prom, they circulated a memo letting students know that same gender couples were not allowed at the prom.

Since then, the American Civil Liberties Union has approached the school board on McMillen’s behalf, asking they change the policy.

McMillen says she just wants school officials to accept everyone.

Hear from Constance herself in this clip, also hear some good news for her.  A neighboring school has offered to welcome the outcast students to their prom.

Another interesting fact from this clip, no one, anywhere seems to agree with the school’s decision.
